BIO

YounG Livity is the youngest Capeverdian Band at the moment!

The band started with the name YounG Livity because a lot of the band members are the children,cousins or nephew's from the famous group Livity!

In the past year there have been some changes concerning the group. The band is counting five Boys and one Girl ageing 20 to 26 years old.

All of them are born and raised in the Netherlands!

This young band has already performed a lot in the last 5 years. For example: On the biggest Capeverdian festival called Festival Baia das Gatas.

The band has been on the same stage with the Big;

Kassav' - Cesaria Evora - Lura - Sara Tavaras - Gil Semedo - Gipsy Kings-Alpha Blondy - Ky-mani Marley and the tribute band - Ojos de burro and Los van van.

The group was touring for 5 weeks in 2006 on the Capeverdian Islands. This tour was including a big festival in Sal called Festival de Santa Maria.

The group has also performed in Paris - Sarcelles - Luxembourg -Rome -Palermo - Milano - St. Vicent,S - Antao -Sal - Praia - Belgium - Swiss and many times in Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

In 2007 the group performed for the first time at Sao Joao Festival in S.Antao. That was a tour of 3 weeks and that night they joined 5 Artist.

At the day of March 7th 2006 the group was invited by a dutch political group called PVDA, to perform at their celebration party after winning an election campaign.

The fact that the group performs for themselves,they also play for other various artists.

In 2008 YounG Livity played at the biggest festival from Asommada in Cape verde Island.
In 2009 YounG Livity had a invitation for the first Caribbean festival in Rotterdam!

In 2010 The group also perfomed at the biggest Caribbean festival in Belgium called Antilliaanse feesten Hoogstraten!

Also at the Carnaval in Belgium as closing artist!

The year 2010 is for so far a great year for YounG Livity.

They are ready for their NEW Album!!
