BIO:

Neusa Silva, a.k.a. “Chris” in the musical world, was born in 1984, on 26th of July in Santiago Island, Cape Verde. She came to Portugal, with only 9 years old, with her Parents, Brothers and Sisters.

Since very early the music passion has broken her heart, and influenced by singers like Cesária Évora, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, Chris has started in the music business attending musical contests. She always won those contests with her sweet voice.

However, Chris has been living in Portugal for fourteen years now and her debut was in Kating MC’s album. After that, the music producer “Why” invite her to work on a song with him. This song named “Nara” was included in an Afro Dance 3 Project and was very successful in Cape Verdian top charts.

In the meantime this talented singer, with only 23 years old, presents us with her first album, after her participation on Pérolas de Africa Project with the song “Ta Mexê”. For this reason she is already considered one of the most talented Cape Verdian new singers.

Coração Vagabundo is the name of her first album, produced by Mr. Why. It has love lyrics and hot rhythms. Kizomba, Zouk and Tarraxinha are music styles present in the album.
